A Roane County woman is facing charges after she reportedly fell asleep behind the wheel of a vehicle in a restaurant drive-thru in Crossville. Police responded to McDonald’s on Peavine Road late Friday night where they found the driver, 39-year-old Sunny Brook Hamby of Rockwood, inside the vehicle. Also inside the car was a 3 and a 13-year-old juvenile as well as a handgun in a purse. Hamby reportedly failed a sobriety check while allegedly under the influence of three different narcotics. She was arrested for reckless endangerment, DUI, and possession of a handgun while intoxicated. The children were released to a family member.
