9,189 TOTAL CASES OF COVID 19 IN TENNESSEE, UP 463 TOTAL CASES IN A DAY – APRIL 25, 2020

The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 9,189 (up 463 cases from yesterday, largest one day jump since outbreak started in Tennessee) total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 25, 2020), 178 died, 821 had to be hospitalized and 4,467 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

BLOUNT – 12 active remaining cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 53 total cases (up 4 cases from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 922 negative tests

CLAY – 2 active remaining case (same as yesterday) out of 5 total case (same as yesterday), 203 negative tests

CUMBERLAND – 29 active remaining cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 66 total cases (down 1 case from yesterday), 1,266 negative tests

FENTRESS – 3 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 4 total cases (same as yesterday), 203 negative tests

KNOX – 28 remaining active cases (up 4 cases from yesterday) out of 210 total cases (up 6 cases from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 4,939 negative tests

LOUDON – 6 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 25 total cases (same as yesterday), 435 negative tests

MCMINN – 6 remaining active cases (up 3 cases from yesterday) out of 10 total cases (up 3 cases from yesterday), 821 negative tests

MEIGS – 3 remaining active cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 5 total cases (same as yesterday), 121 negative tests

MONROE – 3 remaining active cases out of 12 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 fatality, 341 negative tests

MORGAN –  0 remaining active cases out of 6 total cases, 208 negative tests

OVERTON – 2 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 7 total cases (same as yesterday), 511 negative tests

PICKETT – 0 cases (has not seen a case since outbreak started), 155 negative tests

PUTNAM – 30 remaining active cases (up 6 cases from yesterday) out of 106 total cases (up 5 cases from yesterday), 5 fatalities, 1,347 negative tests
