The Tennessee Department of Health said in their report released this afternoon there are 8,726 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state. Officials say as of today (April 24, 2020), 168 died, 808 had to be hospitalized and 4,370 recovered.

The Tennessee Department of Health defines “recovered” as people who (1) have been confirmed to be asymptomatic by their local or regional health department and have completed their required isolation period or (2) are at least 21 days beyond the first test confirming their illness.

BLEDSOE – 585 active remaining cases (Nearly all of these cases are at the Bledsoe County Correctional Prison) out of 591 total cases, 1,777 negative tests

BLOUNT – 8 active remaining cases (up 1 case from yesterday) out of 49 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 3 fatalities, 838 negative tests

CLAY – 2 active remaining case (same as yesterday) out of 5 total case (same as yesterday), 195 negative tests

FENTRESS – 1 remaining active cases (down 2 cases from yesterday) out of 4 total cases (same as yesterday), 191 negative tests

KNOX – 24 remaining active cases (down 6 cases from yesterday) out of 204 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 4 fatalities, 4,357 negative tests

LOUDON – 6 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 25 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 413 negative tests

MCMINN – 3 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 7 total cases (up 1 case from yesterday), 773 negative tests

MEIGS – 2 remaining active cases (down 1 case from yesterday) out of 5 total cases (same as yesterday), 117 negative tests

MONROE – 9 remaining active cases (up 2 cases from yesterday) out of 12 total cases (same as yesterday), 1 fatality, 327 negative tests

MORGAN –  0 remaining active cases out of 5 total cases, 182 negative tests

OVERTON – 2 remaining active cases (same as yesterday) out of 7 total cases (same as yesterday), 494 negative tests

PICKETT – 0 cases (has not seen a case since outbreak started), 147 negative tests
