The Wayne County, Kentucky Sheriff’s Department is searching for a jail escapee. Officers say 20-year-old Albert Young of Monticello escaped from the detention center yesterday when he was able to pry a chain link fence loose while in the recreation yard. He was last seen running toward the Kentucky 90 bypass.

Young is a Caucasian male, standing 6’ tall, weighs 195 pounds, medium build with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Young was indicted in August of 2018 on multiple counts of third-degree assault as well as resisting and evading arrest.

If you see Young, call 911 and report his position.

(A picture of Young was not available by law enforcement at the time of this story being published)
