A two vehicle accident on I-40 in eastern Putnam County Saturday resulted in an individual from Georgia and two from Fentress County hurt. Trooper Colby Huff says a 1995 Chevy van driven by 70-year-old Lee Stafford of Jamestown and a 2007 Ford F-150 operated by 51-year-old Yanes Agustin of Gainesville, Georgia were both traveling west at the 300 mile marker in Monterey when both vehicles collided in a curve. Augustin was flown from the scene to an area trauma center while Stafford and a passenger in his vehicle, 37-year-old Tonya Burtrum of Jamestown, were both transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
