Cumberland County deputies responded around 1 a.m. this morning to an area on Shadberry Drive to a motorist doing burnouts in front of a home of a woman the suspect knew. The arrest report states officers reportedly saw the driver, 38-year-old Thomas Clint Shubert of Crossville, traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputies stopped Shubert a short time later and allegedly smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the suspect. Officers also found a loaded firearm on the floor board. Shubert was arrested for stalking, DUI, evading arrest and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
(the stalking charge comes from two recent incidents allegedly involving Schubert and the woman in the home)
