The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a tractor-trailer accident yesterday on I-40 in Roane County. Troopers say the driver lost control at the 343 mile marker, left the road and crashed into a wooded area. The tractor-trailer then caught fire. One involved in the accident was flown by Lifestar to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained. Westbound traffic was shut down for hours as the scene was investigated and later cleared. More information, including the name of the driver, will be released at a later time by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
