A three vehicle accident in western Cumberland County early Sunday night resulted in four injured. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report released today, a 2015 Honda Pilot operated by 39-year-old Willie Rogers, Jr. of Sparta stopped behind a 2003 Kia Spectra driven by a 16-year-old juvenile from Sparta as the teen was on Highway 70 West attempting to make a turn onto Glade Creek Road. Troopers say that is when a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by 53-year-old James Holland of Crossville rear ended Rogers causing Rogers vehicle to rear end the Kia. All three drivers and a passenger in the Kia, 18-year-old Timothy Melton, Jr. of Spencer, sustained injuries in the accident. Holland was charged with failure to exercise due care and driving on an expired registration.
