MAN AND CHILD ESCAPE INJURY IN CUMBERLAND CO. VEHICLE ACCIDENT

A man and child escaped injury in a single vehicle accident in Cumberland County Saturday. The accident report states an automobile driven by 70-year-old Richard L. Leach of Crab Orchard was traveling on the 8,000 block of Highway 70 East near School Road when he lost control in poor weather conditions and left the road. The vehicle hit some large rocks causing significant damage before coming to rest. Leach and a 4-year-old passenger in the vehicle were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
