Cumberland County deputies were called to the Dollar General parking lot in Lake Tansi yesterday to a report of a woman shooting up drugs in a vehicle with a baby present. Officers encountered 24-year-old Darian Nicole Wyrick who was found to allegedly be in possession of meth. She was arrested for possession of the drug. A Department of Children’s Service referral was made and a family member responded to the store to pick up the baby. A second subject at the scene with Wyrick, 21-year-old Katherine Elizabeth Davenport, was charged with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia.
