Two drivers escaped injuries in a vehicle accident on I-40 in eastern Putnam County late this morning. Trooper Willie Allison says a 2019 Honda CRV driven by 68-year-old Colleen Thivierge of Crossville was traveling near the 296 mile marker when she slowed down for traffic ahead and was rear ended by a 2002 Toyota Camry operated by 22-year-old Evelin Velasquez of Monterey. Both drivers were restrained at the time of impact.
