Downed trees and power lines over roads in Cumberland County from storms Saturday resulted in at least two accidents.
Troopers say a 1997 Dodge Ram driven by 64-year-old James Rogers of Rockwood was traveling on Highway 70 East near Renegade Mountain Parkway when his vehicle struck a downed power line. Damage was observed to the driver’s side of the vehicle. Rogers was not hurt.
A second accident four hours later took place on Highway 68. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2008 Dodge Caliber operated by 57-year-old Rose Price of Graysville was traveling south when she struck a fallen tree on the highway. Price was restrained at the time of impact and was not injured.
