A three vehicle accident late this morning in northern Cumberland County resulted in a fatality. Troopers say a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by 79-year-old Del Epps of Monterey attempted to turn off of Highway 70 North onto East Cove Road when he collided with an oncoming 1997 Buick operated by 69-year-old Terry McBroom of Cookeville. After the two collided, a 2014 Nissan Titan driven by a 14-year-old juvenile struck the rear of the vehicle Epps was driving. McBroom was not injured. A 10-year-old passenger in the Titan was not hurt. Epps died from injuries sustained. The report states citations were issued as a result of the accident.
