ONE KILLED IN VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN SEQUATCHIE COUNTY

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says one was killed in a vehicle accident on Highway 111 on Cagle Mountain in Sequatchie County yesterday. Officers say a 2000 Dodge Durango driven by 61-year-old Jimmy Flatt crossed two lanes of traffic and traveled into the path of a Freightliner. As the truck driver swerved to avoid the Durango, the trailer hit the SUV, which went into a ditch against a rock wall. Flatt died from injuries sustained. The truck driver was not injured.
