CROSSVILE MAN ARRESTED FOR MISUSE OF 911 SYSTEM

Crossville police responded to a residence on Goodwin Circle yesterday for a report of 911 misuse. Officers made contact with 59-year-old Jan Joseph Shoemaker who reportedly told police he called 911 to fire the dispatchers working. The arrest report states Shoemaker told officers he was supposedly a chief deputy and gave them a badge number. Shoemaker was arrested for criminal impersonation and misuse of the 911 system.
