CLAY COUNTY VEHICLE ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE OF TEENAGER

A single vehicle accident over the weekend in Clay County claimed the life of a teenager. Troopers say a 16-year-old from Celina was driving a 1992 Geo Tracker north on Brimstone Creek Road near Dry Branch Road when the vehicle left the road, went down an embankment and rolled over coming to rest in a creek. The driver passed away from injuries sustained. Three passengers in the Tracker, a 16-year-old from Celina, a 16-year-old from Gainesboro and 19-year-old Alyssa Colson of Celina, were not hurt. Troopers say seat belts were not used at the time of the crash.
