TVA BEGINS TO REMOVE ASBESTOS MATERIALS NEAR FOSSIL PLANT IN ROANE CO.

TVA has begun removing asbestos-contaminated material that had been found during construction near the Kingston Fossil Plant in Roane County. The material was located in what appeared to be an old burn pit containing debris. Officials say up to 22,000 cubic yards of debris will be removed including up to 40 cubic yards of asbestos-containing material.
