Deputies in Cumberland County recently went to a home on Todd Road for a male attempting to kick a front door open. Officers found the suspect, 39-year-old Joshua Lionel Jones of Smithville, on the front porch. A female with Jones told authorities Jones reportedly crashed a vehicle they were in on Potato Farm Road then grabbed her by her jacket pulling her to the Todd Road home. The homeowner gave a statement saying he grabbed a firearm, went to the door and opened it after Jones tried to kick it open. The homeowner had to physically keep Jones from entering. Jones was charged with  aggravated criminal trespassing, possession of a Schedule II drug and resisting arrest.
