LENOIR CITY MAN CHARGED WITH CHILD ABUSE

A Lenoir City man has been charged with child abuse. Police were called to a home on East Broadway Street where they encountered 49-year-old Michael Paul Mattison. The report states Mattison was intoxicated and left strike marks on a child’s back. The boy was taken to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital for medical attention. Mattison was taken to the Loudon County jail and initially placed under a $25,000 bond.
