Motorist in Cumberland County need to be extra careful when it comes to deer crossing roadways. In the past five days, drivers traveling on Highway 70 North, Vandever Road, Arthur Seagraves Road and Northside Drive all hit a deer that came out into traffic. According to AAA, deer mating season starts from October through December and during those months deer related accidents go up. Deer are also on the move looking for food and water as they use up more energy in the winter time to stay warm.
