MEIGS CO, ALCOA AND MARYVILLE TO PLAY FOR HIGH SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

The semifinals of the TSSAA high school football playoffs took place this past Friday.

In Class 2A, Meigs County defeated Trousdale County 22-20. Meigs County will play Peabody for the state title this Saturday (December 7, 2019) at 11 a.m. at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville.

In Class 3A, Alcoa shut out Loudon 56-0. Alcoa will play Pearl Cohn for the state championship this Friday (December 6, 2019) at 3 p.m. at Tennessee Tech.

And in Class 6A, Maryville will play Ravenwood for the state title this Saturday (December 7, 2019) at 7 p.m. at Tennessee Tech.
