BEAN ARRESTED AFTER HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT IN ROCKWOOD

A high-speed chase in Rockwood Monday afternoon resulted in several charges on the driver. Officers observed a vehicle operated by 18-year-old Zachary Chase Bean of Rockwood sideways on East Wheeler Street. Police tried to pull over Bean but the suspect reportedly sped off. The chase ended when Bean ran off the road on the 600 block of East Wheeler Street and hit a tree. Bean and a passenger in the car declined medical treatment. Bean was arrested for reckless endangerment, reckless driving, evading arrest and three traffic violations.
