An Overton County man was sentenced to probation yesterday after being indicted on nine counts of child sex crimes. Court officials say 27-year-old Kevin Lee Johnson of Twin Oaks Road in Livingston faced charges including sexual exploitation of a minor and exploitation of a minor by electronic means involving a 14-year-old girl. In court yesterday, Johnson took a plea deal where he plead to attempted solicitation of a minor by electronic means and sexual exploitation of a minor. Johnson was facing a maximum of numerous years in prison. Judge Wesley Bray sentenced Johnson to 6 years for the attempted solicitation of a minor and 4 years for the sexual exploitation of a minor on supervised probation to serve concurrent (meaning only 6 years supervised probation). Johnson will also have to go on the sex offender registry for life. The other seven counts against Johnson were dismissed in the plea deal.
