An adult and a child escaped injury in a single vehicle accident in Cumberland County Sunday. Deputies say a 2005 Chevrolet driven by 24-year-old Zachary Easter of Mattoon, Illinois was traveling on Old Highway 28 just off Highway 127 South when he said a driver in a black vehicle ran him off the road. Easter then hit a rocky embankment. Easter was cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license. A 9-year-old child in the vehicle with Easter was not hurt.
