CUMBERLAND COUNTY RECEIVES $1.1 MILLION IN GRANTS

Cumberland County has received just over $1 million in funding from various sources. The Assistance to Firefighters grant for $571,610 will go to the county fire department to replace their air packs used for breathing while battling blazes. This particular grant requires a 10% match. The county also received a Community Development Block Grant for South Cumberland Utility District for $468,865 to extend water services to customers in the southern portion of the county. Finally, the county received a $50,000 ThreeStar grant from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
