DRIVER INJURED AFTER HE HIT THREE PARKED VEHICLES IN ROCKWOOD

Rockwood police and medics responded Tuesday to an accident off of North Gateway Avenue. Officers say a Chevy Impala driven by 72-year-old Hubert Johnson of Wartburg left the road and struck three parked cars at the corner of Strang Street and Gateway Avenue. Johnson told police his steering column locked up and he could not control the vehicle before it crashed. Johnson was the only on hurt. He was transported by ambulance to Roane Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
