An accident involving a vehicle and a church bus yesterday in Cumberland County resulted in six children and a pregnant adult driver being transported to the hospital. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2004 Ford Taurus driven by 29-year-old Kristin R. Findley of Crossville was traveling west on Highway 70 West in the Pleasant Hill area when she crossed the center line and went toward an oncoming 2005 Chevy bus operated by 33-year-old Kirsten M. Teeple of Crossville. Teeple took evasive action to prevent a head on crash. The bus went onto the shoulder of the road and turned over on its side. The bus was carrying 10 children as part of the After School Care Program at First United Methodist Church in Crossville. Teeple, who is pregnant, was transported to Cumberland Medical Center for observations. Six of the ten children on board were also taken to the hospital, treated and released. Findley was charged with driving on the wrong side of the road and driving without insurance.

Also, one of the passengers on the bus, 10-year-old Kadyn Page, helped 7 other children in getting their seat belts unfastened and got them off of the bus.
