LAWSUIT DOES NOT ALLEGE ANY FRAUD TOOK PLACE AT ADVANCED SPINE AND PAIN IN CROSSVILLE

A Crossville pain clinic closed their doors without warning after federal prosecutors accused their parent company of defrauding taxpayers by subjecting patients to unnecessary injections, drug tests and opioid prescriptions.

Advanced Spine and Pain on Matherly Lane near Walmart shut down last month. In the weeks following the closure, former employees say they haven’t received their final paycheck. Some former patients have been unable to access their medical records.

Advanced Spine and Pain has not provided a public explanation for the clinic shutting down quickly. However, the closure happened in the same week that the owner of the clinic, Oaktree Medical Centre in South Carolina, suddenly closed 10 clinics in the Carolinas.

The federal lawsuit, filed against Oaktree Medical Centre, does not specifically allege any fraud took place at Advanced Spine and Pain in Crossville.
