UPDATE – The Crossville Police Department released an accident report minutes ago of a single vehicle crash Wednesday on Sparta Highway. A 2003 Chevy Malibu driven by 43-year-old John Dallas Brown Jr. of Monterey was traveling east when he left the road and struck a culvert. That caused the vehicle to flip over a driveway and came to rest upside down. A witness reportedly observed Brown kick out the driver’s window and flee the scene. A passenger in the car, 22-year-old Tyler Ray Owens of Crossville, was pinned under the vehicle. He was flown to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Brown, after he was located 10 hours later, was flown to Erlanger Medical for injuries sustained. A third passenger, 23-year-old Tyler Zundel of Crossville, was slightly injured according to police. Brown was charged with driving on a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident.
