The Crossville City Council met in a work session Tuesday to prepare for their regular monthly meeting next week. Agenda items discussed included a review of the city’s debt and interest rates. The review was conducted by Kidwell and Co. and council members received fairly good news. The main discussion centered around the fact that the city could look at restructuring their outstanding bonds, particularly those involving water and sewer. It was also suggested that the city look at going for a credit rating upgrade. The item will be prepared with the help of Kidwell and Co. and added to the September agenda. Other items discussed included maintenance hangar repairs and upgrades for engineering services and the airport, along with the purchase of vehicles, body armor and a replacement K-9 officer for the police department.
