PRUITT: “LOT OF INEXPERIENCE ON DEFENSIVE SIDE” FOR VOLUNTEERS

Tennessee Volunteer Head Football Coach Jeremy Pruitt said in his weekly news conference today that the Vols have a lot of inexperience on the defensive side. The comments came after Georgia State stunned the Vols Saturday in Neyland Stadium 38-30.  Pruitt said the team will get back to practice and try to improve before the next game against BYU.

In the last 60 years, Tennessee has only lost to three other non-Power 5 teams at Neyland Stadium: North Texas State in 1975, the Army in 1986 and to Wyoming in 2008.

Whatever is wrong with the team, Pruitt and his coaching staff need to fix it fast. Tennessee will play BYU next then Chattanooga. After that, Tennessee will face Florida, Georgia and Alabama.
