RECTOR CHARGED AFTER REPORTEDLY STRIKING CROSSVILLE POLICE OFFICER

Crossville police pulled over a motorist Saturday on West Avenue for a suspicion of driving under the influence. The arrest report states while an officer was placing handcuffs on 23-year-old Rebecka Lynn Rector, the suspect allegedly struck the police officer in the mouth. Rector was charged with assault, resisting arrest, DUI and felony possession of meth.
