A tractor-trailer accident in Cumberland County late last night resulted in the driver being sent to an area trauma center. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2010 Volvo 18-wheeler driven by 31-year-old Meshawn Brand of Covington, Georgia was traveling south on Highway 127 near the Cumberland/Bledsoe County line when he lost control and went into a ditch. The truck rolled over, ejecting Brand, and came to rest in the northbound lane. Trooper Seiber arrived on scene and performed lifesaving measures to Brand until medicals arrived. Brand was flown by LifeForce to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
