FORMER CROSSVILLE BUSINESS WOMAN, SALLY MAYBERRY, PASSES AWAY

Sally Mayberry, who ran Mayberry’s Interiors in Crossville, passed away early this morning at the age of 94. Sally is the mother of current Crossville City Mayor James Mayberry.

Sally was one of the last to graduate from Cumberland Mountain School. She grew up across the street from the school. She would later graduate from Cumberland County High School when it was located across from Cumberland Medical Center.

She became active in Mayberry’s Complete Home Furnishings in Crossville shortly after it opened in 1946. Her specialty was interior designs and she helped many with their home interior setups in the community.

Sally was also very active at First United Methodist Church in Crossville. She served on several church committees and helped many families who were in need.

Funeral services for Sally Mayberry are pending.
