The Highway 127 Yard Sale does not officially start until Thursday (August 1, 2019) but numerous vendors are set up and selling items now in the listening area. This is causing traffic problems with motorists parking on the side of the highway. Today, a couple of near misses involving pedestrians and vehicles took place in Crossville. Law enforcement reminds motorists to pay extra attention to vehicles in front of them and keep your eyes on the road instead of on items for sale on the side of the highway. Also motorists should be careful of pedestrians crossing over the highway on foot. The sale is set to end Sunday night. The annual sale is now 690 miles long and the route travels through 6 states; Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. The majority of the route follows Highway 127 from Addison, Michigan in the north to Chattanooga in the south.
