TWRA: SEARCH UNDERWAY FOR MISSING SWIMMER ON TENNESSEE LAKE

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources agency said a search is underway for a missing swimmer.

The search is happening on Douglas Lake, about 45 minutes east of Knoxville.

Agents said a man and woman were swimming from a pontoon boat in Nina Creek when the man didn’t resurface.

Multiple rescue squads and first responders are responding, including those from Jefferson, Hamblen and Sevier counties.
