After the County Commission meeting last night, 1057 News asked Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster about the recent announcement regarding 10-gig internet service coming to the small Northeast Tennessee community of Jonesborough.

“I’m glad that somebody else is getting broadband internet,” Foster said. “But we deserve it, too, and I’m going to keep pushing for it.”

Foster added that if there are residents who have not yet taken his broadband internet survey, he urges them to do so. Click here for the survey.
