TN MAN STOLE GUITAR BY STUFFING IT DOWN HIS PANTS

Murfreesboro police are looking for an odd suspect. They say Hayden Snyder stuffed a Fender Telecaster guitar down his pants April 26th and walked out of The String Shop. The guitar is valued at nearly a thousand dollars.

“He just walked around real quietly, didn’t say goodbye or anything,” said Dub Hollowell, who owns the shop.

Police in Franklin say Snyder did the same thing at Music World and Drummer’s Den in their town. There, he was accused of stealing a limited-edition guitar worth nearly $4,000.

Franklin police recovered it from a local pawn shop.

But Brentwood police say the owners of Lane Music caught Snyder on surveillance video when he stuffed a guitar down his pants there in January.

When Hollowell saw the surveillance video, he recognized Snyder immediately. “Same hat, same coat,” Hollowell said. “I’ll be darned. That’s him!”

Snyder has been arrested several times but bonded out.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Det. Kerry Thorpe at 615-893-2717.
