OFF-DUTY CUMBERLAND CO. RESCUE SQUAD MEMBER HIT BY CAR SATURDAY

A member of the Cumberland County Rescue Squad who was on his way to work Saturday night had stopped to assist after a wreck. While conducting traffic control, he was struck by a car. As of yesterday morning he was still in the hospital, recovering from surgery.

This was not related to a squad call; the unidentified squad member was performing a Good Samaritan act.
