RUTHERFORD COUNTY DEPUTY STRUCK BY CAR WHILE DIRECTING TRAFFIC AT ACCIDENT

A Rutherford County Deputy was hit by a car while directing traffic Friday night. The crash involved a tractor-trailer rig and a car on South Church Street at Savannah Ridge around 9 PM. While the deputy was directing traffic around the crash scene, he himself was struck by a vehicle. His injuries were not life-threatening and he is being treated at St. Thomas Rutherford.
