Friday morning, Cumberland County deputies executing a narcotics search warrant on a home on Old Mail Road turned up more than just drugs.

Aside from several containers of meth, deputies discovered several sets of digital scales with meth residue, numerous unused plastic zip-top bags, several glass pipes, used syringes and a loaded Remington 270 rifle.

Deputies arrested 37-year-old Ron Michael Sherrill of Crossville on felony possession of meth, felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed under $23,000 bond.

They also arrested 40-year-old Crystal Gail Smith for felony possession of meth, felony possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, felony possession of a prohibited weapon (Smith is a convicted felon and, as such, is prohibited from possessing firearms), and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed under $35,000 bond.

Both are due in court April 29.
