STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED SOUTH OF ROCKWOOD THIS MORNING

The Roane County Sheriff’s Department retrieved a stolen car from Kingston around 7:30 this morning – but not until it was found in the water on Eagle Furnace Road, south of Rockwood. A sergeant with the sheriff’s department found the car in the water in White’s Creek alongside Eagle  Furnace Road.

Kingston Police Chief Jim Washum confirmed the vehicle was stolen from Paint Rockferry Road in Kingston earlier today.

No arrests have yet been made.
