A manhunt in Bledsoe County Saturday ended with a resident capturing the wanted man. According to authorities, an individual later identified as Tyler Shell, stole a vehicle in Sequatchie County Saturday morning. Shell had been considered at the time, armed and dangerous along with being allegedly high on drugs. A search was issued for the area in and around Smith Mountain throughout the day that included K-9 units. Around 8:15 PM, officers received a call from a resident on Blue Sewanee Road who stated that while he was outside his home, he saw Shell charge at him. The resident said that he fired one round at the suspect and hit him. Shell was taken into custody and taken to Erlanger Hospital where he was treated for non- life-threatening injuries.
