McFALL SELECTED AS ROANE COUNTY DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS

In a 2½ hour meeting last night, the Roane County Board of Education voted 6-4 to nominate Ladonna McFall as the new Roane County director of schools . Thomas Sisk garnered four votes – from Sam Cox, Daryl Langley, Vic King and Chair Nadine Jackson.

Those voting for McFall were Mike Miller, Rod Jago, Larry Bracket, Danny Wright, Mike Turner and Hugh L. Johnson.

The board voted unanimously to begin contract negotiations with McFall, who currently works as the Coffee County Director of Schools. Sisk is her counterpart in the Limestone County, Alabama, school system. Each had an hour to answer questions from the board and to state their case for why they wanted to be the next director.
