Next Sunday, hundreds of area residents in Knoxville will gather to remember a local hero.

Fulton High School sophomore Zaevion William Dobson was just 15 years old December 17, 2015, when he died while shielding three friends from gunfire in a drive-by shooting.

The Change Center will host the fourth annual “Skate for Zae” memorial skate party March 17, from 3 to 10 p.m. Zaevion’s family said the teen loved to skate and this is a great way to keep his memory alive.

The event is a joint effort sponsored by the City of Knoxville, the Save Our Sons Project and the Zaevion Dobson Memorial Fund.

The Change Center is located at 203 Harriet Tubman Street in Knoxville.
