Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is set to deliver his first State of the State address before the General Assembly today. In it, he’ll present his first budget and outline his legislative agenda.
Lee said he will focus on increased funding for education – including funding for 4H, FFA, agricultural-enhancement and youth-development programs. He has already announced $40 million for safety improvements in Tennessee’s elementary and secondary schools.
Lee is also expected to make announcements regarding teacher salaries and education savings accounts, or ESAs.
