Roane County deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle earlier this week. A gold 1979 MG Midget was reported seen at a local scrap-metal yard, after having been missing for about two weeks from a Clearview Drive address in Rockwood. The owner said the vehicle has no valid registration, and he holds the only key.

An employee of the scrap-metal yard confirmed the vehicle had been brought in on February 18, and was in the recycle lot, with several other cars stacked atop it. He also provided photos, ID and the thumbprint of the man who brought in the MG: 27-year-old Dylan Seth Headrick.

Upon confirming proper ownership of the vehicle (by VIN and title), deputies arrested Headrick for auto theft.
