Home > Steve Norris Weather > MUCH COLDER FRIDAY

Record highs set all across Tennessee today, 72 degrees the high in Crossville! Rain tonight as a strong cold front moves through and then we get back to reality as cold air rushes in. Some areas will be in the upper 20s by Friday morning and the high temperature near 40° but at least we will have clearing skies and return of sunshine. Friday night temperatures could dip as low as 17 degrees. Your weekend Outlook is partly cloudy and 45 degrees Saturday with rain and 45 on Sunday. Rain will continue on Monday and Tuesday so we get 3 days of gloomy wet weather. We just picked up over an inch of rain from this weather system and we may get another inch or two early next week… It looks like a web February. Two tornadoes have been confirmed from yesterday’s severe storms in Middle Tennessee, one in Rutherford County and one in Wilson County. Both were relatively weak with 80 mile-per-hour winds estimated. Since it is looking like an early spring with above normal temperatures in March, an active severe weather season is likely in the spring.
