2 LIFESTAR HELICOPTERS DISPATCHED TO CRASH WITH ‘SERIOUS INJURIES’ IN LOUDON

Loudon County authorities are at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash this afternoon. Reported just after noon Central Time, the crash at the intersection of Steekee School Road and Highway 72 in Loudon, apparently involves multiple vehicles. The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple people with injuries. Two LifeStar helicopters have responded to transport victims for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Drivers can expect significant delays in this area. Highway 72 is shut down in both directions. Traffic is being diverted to alternate routes in both directions.

Early estimates indicate the wreckage should be cleared by 3:30 p.m. Central Time. This may need to be revised.
