TRUCK BURGLARY REPORTED AT LHOIST NORTH AMERICA IN CRAB ORCHARD

Tuesday morning, Cumberland County deputies were called to the Lhoist North America location at 10583 Highway 70 East in Crab Orchard for a report of thefts from multiple vehicles.

Sunday night, video footage shows an unknown individual cutting and picking locks on at least two work trucks on site and leaving with at least one large backpack filled with stolen items.

Among the items stolen are a Milwaukee extended-life lithium ion battery, a Milwaukee half-inch drive high-torque cordless impact tool, a Milwaukee 3/8” drive cordless impact tool, a Milwaukee half-inch cordless drill, a  Milwaukee 4½-inch cordless grinder, a Milwaukee battery charger, a Fluke multimeter, a Benzomatic gas hand torch, a small speed square and a DC-to-AC power inverter.

There are no suspects at this time, but the incident is under investigation.
